Kalevala is a finnish national epic. It tells how Finnish zither its was born. Kalevala is a collection of national poems of Finland. Elias Lönrot (1802-1884) published first edition in 1849. In Kalevala there is two villages - Pohjola and Kalevala. Main characters are Louhi, Väinämöinen, Joukahainen, Aino and Lemminkäinen.
